Gateshead have signed their fourth player of the summer in left back Mark Robinson.

The 27-year old brings a wealth of experience at both Football League and Blue Square Premier levels.

Starting his career with Hartlepool, Robinson made 90 league and cup appearances, before moving to Hereford in the Football Conference.

While at Hereford Robinson was in the side which narrowly lost in the Play-off Semi-Final against Stevenage during the 2004/05 season.

Robinson then moved to Stockport of League Two where he made over 60 league and cup appearances before joining relegation threatened Torquay United where he made 18 appearances before the end of the 2006/07 season.

The left back then moved back north to play for York City where he has spent the last two seasons, playing 73 games in all competitions.

Robinson is closing in on 300 first team appearances, while scoring just eight goals.
