The left back has been poor since joining from York City in the summer so Ian Bogie has released him to allow him to join the Blue Square North strugglers.
Gainsborough, managed by former Aston Villa and Darlington boss Brian Little, have also signed Darren Williams, who was released by Gateshead a short while ago.
