The prolific goalscorer made his 15th appearance last Saturday, which triggered the clause in his contract.
The striker who moved last January, but returned to Gateshead on loan for the rest of the season, has appeared 15 times this season.
It means Gateshead have now received £100,000 from the transfer and will receive another £50,000 if Novak goes on to make 30 appearances for Huddersfield Town.
The money has been added to the month intake after the club received £35,000 from The Premiership and Blue Square League for loss of revenue from the Setanta deal, plus the money won by beating Southport to reach the First Round of the FA Cup.
