It will be the first time since the club reformed in 1977 that they will host a non-qualifying FA Cup match.
In recent history Gateshead reached the Second Round the last time they qualified, but played Halifax at The Shay and then lost at Swindon. The season before they lost 1-0 at Cambridge Utd.
The big question mark will be whether the match is selected for television, which could see the game moved to either the Friday night or the Sunday lunchtime/afternoon.
