FA Cup Draw

Gateshead will face former foes in either Alfreton or Southport on October 24th. All three sides reached the play-offs of the Blue Square North last season.

Gateshead beat Southport over two legs while Alfreton fell narrowly to AFC Telford who were beaten by Gateshead in the play-off final just five months ago.

If Gateshead were to win the tie they would be in the FA Cup First Round for the first time since the 2000/01 season when they beat Halifax Town only to be beaten by Swindon Town in the Second Round.
