Chester City vs Gateshead OFF

The first game between the two clubs since 1960 has been postponed due to the ongoing saga at Chester City.

Their opening day fixture against Grays Athletic was also postponed, and Gateshead received confirmation today that their match tomorrow night will also be rearranged.

It could be a blessing in disguise for manager Ian Bogie, who will have a week to prepare before the club visit Luton Town for the first ever time.

South Shields, who later moved to Gateshead and changed their name, did play Luton however back in 1921, and lost 4-0 in an FA Cup tie.
