Chester City Preview

After the 3-0 win against Eastbourne last Saturday Ian Bogie is keen for his side to win again and has signed 31-year old Irish striker Daryl Clare as an emergency loan signing.

Clare has twice topped the Conference/Blue Square goal scoring charts and has been promoted to the Football with both Boston United and Saturday's oponents Chester City.

Clare, on loan from Mansfield Town, has a good record at step five and his experience should help the club who have announced they will be Full Time next season.

Gateshead likely to be without Carl Jones and Armand One, despite the pair returning to training. Stephen Richardson is still missing due to the ankle injury sustained at Altrincham almost two weeks ago.

Clare is likely to go straight into the starting XI, which could see other loan signing Michael Mackay drop to the bench.

Predicted Line-Up: Farman, Baxter, Cave, Curtis, Swailes, Williams, Gate, Turnbull, Phillips, Armstrong, Clare. Subs: Mackay, Provett, Francis, Robinson, McDermott. Other squad members: Forsyth, Jones, One, Pelonde.
