Barrow Preview

Both sides lost at the weekend but it is hopeful the home side will change their fortunes and move above their visitors this evening.

A win for Gateshead would move them out of the bottom four on goal difference with Barrows and Forest Green Rover dropping down.

Craig Baxter and Kris Gate might be back in the starting XI tonight after missing the match at Hayes and Yeading and it looks as though new signings Wayne Buchanan and Paul Heckingbottom will retain their places at centre back and left back.

If Baxter returns it could mean Darren Williams drops to the bench.

Paul Farman is also likely to say between the goalposts, but Ian Bogie might be tempted to start Jim Provett in the start of an important run of home matches.

If Gateshead are too survive in their first season back in the Conference then they will need maximum points from the four home games in eleven days.

Potential Gateshead Line-up:

Farman, Baxter, Heckingbottom, Curtis, Buchanan, Gate, Ferrell, Sinclair, Winn, Clare, Wake. Subs: Provett, Williams, Bains, Turnbull, Armstrong.
