Gateshead have announced the signing of Andy Ferrell from York City.
The 26 year old midfielder is the only perminant signing made by Gateshead on transfer deadline day, and with the announcement on the Official website joined with the signings of Heckingbottom and Winn it could be the last.
A deal to sign Rushden and Diamonds keeper Dale Roberts looks dead, if they failed to sign a replacement keeper in time.
Ferrell had been struggling to get in the York side on a regular basis this season.
Ferrell was previously with Watford, Hereford and Kidderminster before joining York, but started his career in the youth ranks at Newcastle United.
