Gateshead sign Brian Wake and James Sinclair.

Yesterday Gateshead signed striker Brian Wake from Morton in Scotland and winger James Sinclair who was previously with Bolton Wanderers.

Wake, who came on a sub against Kettering last night, became the eighth striker to appear for Gateshead this season, but more is promised by the player described as being a saviour.

Wake has scored important goals for his previous clubs, noteably a hat-trick for Carlisle which secured their league safety and hopes are high that he can notch many for Gateshead.

Sinclair, who started last night, played three games for Bolton. Twice in the Premiership against Chelsea and West Ham and added another against Red Star Belgrade the following season in the UEFA Cup.

Gateshead are looking to sign at least one more player before the close of the transfer window. Supporters are hoping for a midfielder.
